Man dies following fatal crash on Highway 7 near Carleton Place

A man has died from his injuries following a car crash in Lanark County.
On August 17, 2019 around 11:30 a.m., officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about a car that rolled over on Highway 7, near Dwyer Hill Road.
Two victims were found inside the car and both were taken to the hospital. A woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries while the man, later died in hospital, on Sunday August 18.
Lanark County Paramedics and members of the OPP Collision Reconstruction Unit were also called to the scene to assist police officers. The highway remained closed until around 7:00 p.m. while the accident was being investigated.
The investigation is still ongoing and authorities are withholding the man’s name as they continue to try to contact his family.
