Suspect arrested in Overbrook shooting

The Ottawa Police Guns and Gang Unit have made an arrest in relation to a shooting incident that happened back in Overbrook on September 2.
The shooting took place at 3:00 a.m., at St-Laurent Boulevard and Donald Street.
There were no injuries as a result of the shooting.
Officers were able to locate the suspect and arrested him while he was driving near the intersection of Montreal Road and Cummings Avenue.
Abdulqadir Yusuf, 20, is charged with:
- Use/Handle/Store Firearm
- Point A Firearm
- Possess Weapon, Etc./Dangerous to Public Peace
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm without holding Licence and Registration Certificate
- Unlicenced Person Possess Prohib/Restricted Weapon
- Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
- Possess Firearm with Altered Serial Number
- Common Nuisance/Endanger Lives or Safety of Public
- Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound, Endanger Life or Prevent Arrest
- Discharge Firearm Being Reckless as to the Life or Safety of Another Person
- Breach of Probation
He is scheduled to attend show cause court Saturday, September 21.
