Firefighters extinguish barn fire on West Hunt Club

Ottawa Fire Service confirms a barn fire that broke out in the College Ward.

OFS received multiple 911 calls in regards to barn fire on West Hunt Club road, between Moodie Drive and Cedarview Drive.

Upon arrival, fire fighters confirmed that the barn was in flames and that its roof had collapsed.

The barn’s property managers confirm the barn was unoccupied and only being used to hold hay. Fire fighters fought to protect nearby grass and trees.

No Ottawa Fire Investigators have been asked to investigate the blaze so far.
