Two vehicle collision with moose kills child, critically injures another

One child is dead and another is in critical condition after a collision involving a moose.

The crash happened near Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix, Que. which is about an hour northeast from Ottawa.

On Sunday, November 17, just before 2 p.m. police say a vehicle struck a moose on Route 323 in Quebec, and as a result, the moose was thrown and struck another vehicle with five passengers inside.

Three children and two adults were travelling in that car. 

One of the kids did not sustain any injuries and the two adults both suffered minor injuries. 

The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured. 

The Sûreté du Québec is continuing to investigate.
