OPP seize $4.2-million worth of cocaine during 401 traffic stop in South Glengarry

A Montreal teen is facing charges after a traffic stop on Highway 401 turned up a large amount of cocaine.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers made the stop at 2:24 p.m., Monday, seizing more than 50 kilograms of cocaine and some Canadian currency. The estimated street value of drugs seized is $4.2-million.
Ellis Salgado Minaya, 19, of Montreal, has been arrested and charged with:
Possession of a controlled substance for purpose of trafficking – cocaine
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in a Cornwall courtroom.
Acting CSCU Detective Staff Sergeant Dean Canham says, “This arrest will have a significant impact within our communities and we recognize the trafficking of illegal drugs has a serious impact on community safety.”
