Arrest made in Greenboro-area pharmacy robbery

A 51-year-old Ottawa man is facing charges, including armed robbery, after an incident at a pharmacy on Lorry Greenberg Drive.

Officers say a man walked into the facility near Conroy Road around 4:50 p.m., Monday, March 30, wearing a white surgical mask and sunglasses. He pointed a firearm at an employee and demanded opioids.

Responding officers were able to find and arrested the suspect nearby.

Kyle Johnson has been charged with:

  • Disguise with intent
  • Use of a firearm during the commission of an indictable offence
  • Armed robbery

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
