Mobile COVID-19 testing site shows up at west-Ottawa high school
A high school in Bells Corners appears to be one of the first stops for three pop-up testing units, pledged to the capital by a provincial cabinet minister.
Nepean MPP Lisa MacLeod announced the pop-up testing sites on Twitter, scheduled to open Friday.

One of those pop-up sites appears to be slated for Franco Ouest, a French Catholic high school in Bells Corners.
A copy of what appears to be a memo from Ottawa Public Health, addressed to parents of students at Franco Ouest, informs them that the pop-up testing site will open at the school from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Three students at Franco Ouest have recently tested positive for COVID-19.

The pop-up testing site at Franco Ouest is intended for staff and students of the school only. Appointments are not required, but a health card is. Anyone under the age of 18 being tested for COVID-19 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
It's hoped these mobile pop-up sites will help take on some of the demand for testing, which has skyrocketed since the return to school and caused massive lineups outside existing testing and assessment centres.
