Ottawa’s Starbucks locations going back to takeout only

By Mike Vlasveld

Starbucks Canada is temporarily changing its Quebec and Ottawa operations to 'grab-and-go.'

The company says the move comes in an effort to keep its employees, customers and communities safe, following the Quebec government’s mandate that restaurants move to grab-and-go in three districts in the province, as COVID-19 cases continue to rise.

Last month, Starbucks announced it would require customers to use facial coverings in all company-operated stores in Canada.

Customers in Quebec and Ottawa will still be able to walk into stores and order at the counter and at the drive-thru, however all seating will be temporarily removed, including patio and outdoor areas.

Customers in select areas can also order Starbucks Delivers, through Uber Eats.
