Man arrested in sexual assault of teen; police concerned there could be more victims

The Ottawa Police’s sexual assault and child abuse unit has charged a man with sexual offences following an investigation.

Yassin Farah, 37, of no fixed address, is charged with sexual assault on a child under the age of 16 with a weapon, two counts of forcible confinement, robbery with a weapon and three counts of uttering threats to cause death.

These charges related to incidents that happened in the early evening hours last Friday in the west end of Ottawa involving two teenage girls.

Investigators are concerned that there could be other victims and are asking anyone with information in relation to his whereabouts since November 1, 2020 to contact police.
