50 charges for four people in Greater Madawaska drug bust; cocaine, meth, fentanyl seized

Police have laid 50 charges against four people in connection to a large drug bust in Greater Madawaska Township. 

On Sunday, December 6, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant at a location on Barrett Chute Road, seizing suspected cocaine, purple fentanyl, methamphetamine, a replica firearm, money and other items typically associated with drug trafficking.

According to police, stolen property from a home invasion in Ottawa was also recovered. 

Taylor Bahm, 22, of Renfrew, Sean Kinghorn, 30, of North Dundas Township, Cody Nice, 30, of Petawawa and Carley Winters, 27, of Gatineau, face the following charges:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (four counts)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Fail to comply with a Probation Order

Winters also faces the following charges:

  • Robbery with violence
  • Break and Enter to a place to commit an indictable offence
  • Three counts of failure to comply with a release order

Kinghorn faces seven additional charges of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, Bahm faces one additional count of possession of a firearm contrary to a probation order and Nice faces four counts of failure to comply with a release order. 

The four accused are being held in custody, pending bail hearings in Renfrew.
