No Amber Alert in effect: OPP

If you heard an alarm on your phone, the OPP want you to know that there is no Amber Alert in effect.

OPP say there is a system error that caused another alert to go out Saturday afternoon, which was out of their control.

“The National Alert Aggregation and Dissemination system have been contacted and are working to resolve the issue,” a tweet from OPP says.

The alert made in error was in relation to an abduction of a nine-month-old child Friday in Ottawa. However, the alert ended when the child was found safe and the suspect was taken into custody.
