Injuries, significant damage in Mechanicsville house fire

Three people are displaced from their home and two are injured after a late night fire in Mechanicsville. 

Ottawa fire crews arrived at a home on Hinchey Avenue near Burnside around 10:45 p.m., Tuesday, and declared a second alarm, as officials say heavy smoke and flames were visible from the triplex.

Damage is estimated at around $600,000.

Victims services were requested for three adults and the extent of injuries is not known. 

An Ottawa Fire Investigator has been called in to determine the cause.
