Ottawa paramedics give behind-the-scenes look at long-term care vaccination efforts

Ottawa paramedics continued to administer second doses of the Pzifer-BioNTech COVID-19 to a number of long-term care homes in the capital over the weekend.
In a series of tweets, the Ottawa Paramedic Service revealed a behind-the-scenes look at the paramedic mobile vaccination teams visiting long-term care homes.
It’s an early morning start for today’s dilution team.
They’ll head to the @OttawaHospital to pick up the #COVID19 #vaccine and bring it to today’s LTC home

Residents at Extendicare Medex, Laurier Manor and West-End Villa received their second shots of the vaccines on January 31.
Another successful day with 3 LTCs completed and lots of 2nd vaccine doses administered

Ottawa paramedics also highlighted the roles of those involved with the rollout of the vaccine, including planning and communications staff.

As of 8 p.m. Sunday, 68,849 people in Ontario have received both doses of the vaccine and are considered fully inoculated against COVID-19.
