Stittsville man facing list of charges after hit and run leads to police chase on Hwy 417

The Ontario Provincial Police is laying a number of driving-related charges against a 34-year-old Stittsville man after a crash on Highway 17 was followed by a police chase all the way into Ottawa.

Officers responded to the initial collision on Highway 17 in McNab/Braeside Township, around 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17.

They say the vehicle suspected of causing the crash failed to remain at the scene and continued speeding down the eastbound lanes of the highway.
