RBC Bluesfest cancelled for 2021, confirms Rage Against The Machine as 2022 headliner
Ottawa's biggest music festival will be postponed for another year.
RBC Bluesfest Executive Director Mark Monahan says Thursday, April 8, “We've been working hard at trying to figure out a way to put on this year’s event, but we’ve simply run out of time, so we’re just going to have to move on.”
Monahan says, however, he is excited about Bluesfest 2022, as he's been able to retain one of the most prominent acts from the festival's original 2020 bill.

“We have confirmed Rage Against The Machine to headline the 2022 festival on Friday, July 15, with Run The Jewels as support on their tour.”
Monahan says it's been a tough year for everyone, so he is disappointed to have to cancel Bluesfest 2021.
Anyone who kept their 2020 ticket for the 2021 event will be eligible for a full refund, but Monahan is encouraging Rage Against The Machine ticket holders to keep their tickets for 2022. Current ticket holders will receive an email from Front Gate Tickets within the next 24 hours with further details about 2022 ticket options.
Ticket holders for Bluesfest 2020 or 2021 events that do not include Rage Against The Machine will be automatically refunded.
