Four people treated following two alarm fire in Orleans
Four people are being treated after a second alarm fire was declared at a home in the city’s east end.
Ottawa Fire Services were called to a single family home on Aquarium Avenue in the Avalon neighbourhood of Orleans Thursday evening after getting reports of smoke and flames visible from the home.
A working fire was declared while crews were on route to the scene.

Once fire crews initiated a fast attack, they initiatied a second alarm fire.
Four people were treated by Ottawa paramedics on scene, although it is unsure if they were released or sent to hospital for treatment.
The fire was declared under control at about 8:40 p.m.
An Ottawa fire investigator has been dispatched to the scene to determine the cause of the blaze.
CityNews Ottawa has reached out to the Ottawa Paramedics Service for an update on the status of the four people that were in their care. As of 9:30 p.m. Thursday, CityNews has not yet heard back.
