City-run long-term care centre Peter D. Clark in Centrepointe has lifted its COVID-19 outbreak status.

The news was confirmed in a memo to city council Friday evening by Donna Gray, general manager of community and social services at the city.

“We are looking forward to gradually returning to our regular activities in the home, and there will be a phased transition as we move out of the outbreak,” Gray said in the memo.

However, outbreak precautions remain on individual units at Carleton Lodge and Center d’accueil Champlain.

So far at Carleton Lodge in Barrhaven there has been one staff case of COVID-19 reported.

Vanier’s Centre d’accueil Champlain, however, has one positive case among its staff and three among its residents.

According to Ottawa Public Health, Peter D. Clark Centre has declared six separate outbreak statuses since April 2020.

Carleton Lodge, however, has gone through four outbreaks; Centre d’accueil through six; and Garry J. Armstrong through six.
