Bedside bassinet recalled in Canada due to potential injury hazard

By Victoria Williston

Health Canada has issued a recall for the Lil Jumbl Bedside Bassinet due to the potential for it to leave a child injured.

The product was sold online at Wayfair, Amazon, and Overstock, as well as by third-party sellers like Target and Walmart.

The product can be identified by product code: UPC 843812122634.

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these bassinets do not meet the Canadian cribs, cradles, and bassinets regulations. The health and safety authority explains that the bassinets do not meet stability requirements when used as a stand alone, and may result in injury to the baby.

There were 579 units of the affected product sold in Canada between February 2020 and April 18, 2021. Officials say, as of April 21, the company received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

For more information, consumers can contact the distributor, C & A Marketing, Inc. directly by phone toll-free at 1-844-605-1427, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST, Monday to Friday, by email at info@liljumbl.com, or by visiting the company's website.

Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold, or even given away.
