South Ottawa Little League one of 14 organizations to get funding from Jays Care Foundation
The charitable arm of the Toronto Blue Jays is investing in baseball programs across Canada, including South Ottawa Little League.
The Jays Care Foundation is making infrastructure investments of over $1-million in 2021, to benefit Canadian children and youth through its Field Of Dreams program.
Fourteen organizations across seven provinces will receive funding to build, enhance, and refurbish baseball diamonds.

The following communities and organizations have been selected as Jays Care’s 2021 Field Of Dreams grant recipients:
- Bedeque, PE – Bedeque & Area Minor Baseball Association
- Dartmouth, NS – Diamond Dawgs Baseball Club
- Tobique First Nation, NB – Mah-Sos School
- La Pocatière, QC – Association de baseball mineur de La Pocatière
- Blind River, ON – Town of Blind River
- Forest, ON – Forest Minor Baseball Association
- Gananoque, ON – Town of Gananoque
- Kenora, ON – Kenora Chiefs Advisory
- Ottawa, ON – South Ottawa Little League
- St. Mary’s, ON – Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum
- Toronto, ON – Variety Village
- Toronto, ON – West Hill Baseball League
- Moosomin, SK – Moosomin Minor Ball Association
- Beaumont, AB – Beaumont Minor Baseball Association
“After a remarkably difficult year, we hope that today’s announcement will provide something for families in these communities to celebrate and look forward to. We are pleased to help organizations across the country build exciting, new spaces for children and youth to reconnect once it is safe to do so,” said Robert Witchel, Executive Director, Jays Care Foundation.
