One person injured in south Ottawa shooting

One person has been wounded in a shooting near Bank Street and Hunt Club Road.

The gunfire happened around 1 a.m. Friday. Police were called to the area of Bridle Path Drive and Hunter's Point Crescent.

The shooting victim was located in the nearby Blossom Park neighbourhood, at Bank Street and Queensdale Avenue.

Police say the victim's injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

No other information about the shooting nor the victim have been released by police, but the Guns and Gangs Unit is leading the investigation.
