Cobden Home Hardware forced to close after not following COVID-19 protocols

By CityNews Ottawa

The Renfrew County and District Health Unit is ordering a Cobden hardware store to close after it refused to following COVID-19 public health restrictions.

The health unit says it waited to issue the order after making several attempts to rectify the non-compliance.

The county's medical officer of health says he takes no pleasure in issuing fines, but that the health unit has a duty to enforce all public health measures set by the province.

Olmstead's Home Hardware must immediately close its doors to patrons, allowing curbside pick-up, delivery or online services only.
