Smiths Falls police issue 42 tickets, make two arrests during Canada Road Safety Week

The Smiths Falls Police Service (SFPS) issued 41 tickets and made two arrests during Canada Road Safety Week. 

The annual safety campaign, which ran from Tuesday, May 18 to Monday, May 24, saw officers crack down on the “Big 4” — aggressive driving/speeding, impaired driving, distracted driving and seatbelt usage.

During the week-long campaign, the SFPS issued the following tickets and made two arrests:

The SFPS wants to remind residents that just because the campaign has ended, officers are still conducting spot and RIDE checks around town.
