========
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has requested an Amber Alert for an 11-month-old baby girl, whom they allege has been abducted.
Information released from both OPS and Ontario Provincial Police has contradicted each other all through the morning hours. Initially, OPS said the suspect is a 70-year-old woman named Miriam. In the latest release from police, they do not identify her as a suspect, only as a possible witness.
Ottawa police told CityNews Ottawa around 6:30 a.m. Friday morning that Miriam is the suspect and the girl is believed to be with her, but that their earlier statement that Miriam is the girl's grandmother was incorrect.
CORRECTION: We do not believe Abby to be with her grandmother.
