Gatineau Hospital emergency room closed for weekend

A nursing shortage has forced the Gatineau Hospital to close its emergency department for the weekend.

According to an announcement on the CISSS de l’Outaouais’ Facebook page, the temporary closure will last until Monday at 4 p.m.

Anyone needing to visit an emergency department is asked to go to the Hull Hospital or Papineau Hospital in Buckingham until then.

Health unit ambulances will be redirected to the Hull Hospital.
