Boil water advisory issued for areas of Hull

By Dani-Elle Dubé

The City of Gatineau has issued a boil water advisory for the Hull area of Gatineau.

The city said Wednesday evening that the advisory impacts about 900 residences.

The boil water advisory is contained in the following areas:

  • North of Boulevard de Haute-Plaines between Boulevard de la Technologie and Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes;
  • South of de la Galène Street.

Water quality is regularly monitored by the city.

This advisory is in effect until further notice.

Residents in this area are advised to boil their tap water for at least one minute before consuming it and to continue to do so until the City of Gatineau lifts the advisory.

Once the advisory has lifted, all cold water taps — including water fountains — must be opened and the water left to run for one minute or until it gets cold before it can be consumed.

Any ice made from tap water run during the boil water advisory must be discarded.
