Employee at city-run Huron Early Learning Centre tests positive for COVID-19

An employee at the city-run Huron Early Learning Centre (ELC) has tested positive for COVID-19.

The City of Ottawa Children's Services the worker tested positive for the virus on Monday, September 20, and last worked at the daycare on Friday, September 17.

The city has decided, in consultation with Ottawa Public Health (OPH), to keep the daycare open, as there has been no COVID-19 transmission identified within the centre.

Staff and family members have been notified and Children's Services continues to work with OPH to ensure everyone's health and safety.

The facility continues to implement enhanced cleaning and COVID safety measures.
