Five Tim Hortons locations among 22 Ottawa businesses accused of violating COVID-19 protocols

Nearly half of the Ottawa businesses found to be violating provincially mandated COVID-19 health and safety protocols since late September are fast food restaurants.

Ottawa By-law and Regulatory Services (BLRS) says it's received 264 requests for service regarding health and safety rules since the implementation of vaccine certification regulations on September 22. 

BLRS has issued 26 provincial offence notices, and one court summons for violation of the provincial regulations since that date.

Below is a list, outlining the violations for which offence notices with fines or a court summons, have been issued:

  • Margarita’s – 895 Bank St. – Failing to wear mask
  • Hurley’s Grill – 1261 Stittsville Main Street – Contact tracing
  • Pub 101 – 101 York St. – Improper wear of mask
  • Vittoria Trattoria – 3625 Rivergate Way – Contact tracing
  • El Furniture Warehouse – 77 Clarence St. – Contact tracing, Improper wear of mask
  • Busters Bar and Grill – 16-420 Hazeldean Rd. – Contact tracing, Improper wear of mask
  • Tim Hortons – 535 Terminal Ave. – Proof of vaccination
  • Tim Hortons – 2895 St. Joseph Blvd. – Proof of vaccination
  • Tim Hortons – 1380 Orleans Blvd. – Proof of vaccination
  • Starbucks – 275 Laurier Ave. E. – Proof of vaccination
  • Pizza Pizza – 1675 Tenth Line Rd. – Proof of vaccination
  • Ground X Jiu Jitsu – 4325 Strandherd Dr. – Fail to wear mask
  • Private residence – Indoor gathering over 25
  • Popeye’s Chicken – 2000 Montreal Rd. – Proof of vaccination
  • Oh So Good Cafe – 25 York St. – Proof of vaccination, Improper wear of mask
  • Reynold’s Restaurant – 874 Clyde Ave. N. – Proof of vaccination
