announced that they have removed eight players from COVID-19 protocol.

Goaltender Matt Murray, forwards Connor Brown, Alex Formenton, Dylan Gambrell and Austin Watson, plus defencemen Josh Brown, Nick Holden and Victor Mete have all been activated, the team reported Saturday.

The Senators said assistant coach Jack Capuano has also been removed from the list.

Just two Senators players remain in protocol: forward Drake Batherson and defenceman Nikita Zaitsev.

The NHL postponed three Senators games in the wake of the outbreak with Ottawa set to return to action Monday against the Colorado Avalanche.
