G1 driver flees scene after driving into ditch

A G1 driver has been charged with careless driving after a truck ended up in the ditch on Highway 416.
OPP responded shortly after 4 p.m. on Dec. 24.
Officers say a truck had driven into the ditch off of the highway near Hunt Club Road. Both the driver and passenger were seen fleeing the scene on foot.
OPP say they located the individuals a short time later.
The driver is facing numerous charge, including careless driving, which carries a $490 fine and six demerit points.
