Child pornography-related charges laid after investigation leads police to Barrhaven home

A 30-year-old Ottawa man is facing three counts of possession of child pornography after a police investigation and search of a home in Barrhaven.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) launched an investigation after receiving information from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre (NCECC), which indicated that an Ottawa resident was suspected of being in possession of child pornography. 

The ICE Unit executed a search warrant on Lamprey Street, on Tuesday, November 30. Francesco Nicolo was arrested and charged. He appeared in court on Tuesday.
