UPDATE: Ten-year-old girl dies following sledding accident at Mooney’s Bay
A spokesperson for the City of Ottawa told CityNews Ottawa on Wednesday, December 29 that there is no official tobogganing hill located at Mooney's Bay.
The spokesperson clarified that the hills used at Mooney's Bay for any winter activities are sometimes used by locals on their own accord.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) says a 10-year-old girl has died following a tobogganing accident at Mooney's Bay.
According to police, the incident took place around 3:20 p.m. on Monday, December 27, and the girl was transported to CHEO, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The victim's next of kin has been notified.
The toboggan hill found at Mooney's Bay is closed until further notice due to safety concerns.
OPS is continuing to work with City of Ottawa partners to investigate the incident and to enhance public safety.
