FOUND: Police searching for missing 25-year-old last seen in ByWard Market area

Ottawa Police Services (OPS) say the 25-year-old has been located safe and sound.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for the public's help to find a missing 25-year-old, last seen in the ByWard Market area last week.

The OPS says, on Friday, January 7, 2022, Monica Pitchenese was reported missing this week and her family is concerned for her safety and well-being.

Pitchenese is described as:

  • Indigenous
  • 5' 11'' (180 cm)
  • 120 lbs (54 kg) 
  • Brown eyes
  • Long brown straight hair
  • Piercings on her nose, eyebrow, and lower lip

Anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Pitchenese is asked to call the OPS at 613-236-1222. 

Anyone with any information that could assist investigators is asked to contact the OPS Missing Persons Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 2355, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., daily.
