School buses cancelled in Ottawa, some surrounding counties

By Jason White

A second day of storm cleanup has forced the cancellation of school buses in Ottawa and in most counties surrounding the capital.

Student transportation authorities said poor road conditions on many routes, as a result of Monday's major snowstorm, led to their decision to cancel school buses.

All school buses are cancelled within the City of Ottawa, for both public and Catholic schools, Tuesday, January 18.

School buses were also cancelled for counties served by the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario and the Upper Canada District School Board.

All schools remain open.
