OC Transpo service around downtown Ottawa suspended on third day of truck convoy protest

Residents have been asked to avoid the downtown area as truck protests continue throughout Ottawa’s downtown for a third day — but if it’s absolutely necessary, don’t expect to be taking the bus.

OC Transpo said it is suspending service on Monday, January 31 as buses are unable to operate throughout the downtown area.

Instead, routes are being detoured and travellers are told to take the O-Train Line 1, if travel is absolutely necessary.

The Rideau Centre remains closed on Monday and road closures continue to cause challenges for those who live and work downtown.
