Perth mayor declares intention to run for fifth term in office
The mayor of Perth is looking to stick around for another four years.
During a meeting of town council on Tuesday, April 19, John Fenik declared his intentions.
“I absolutely am putting my cards on the table, I will be seeking re-election for mayor and I look forward to that,” explained Fenik. “There's serious times ahead in the next four years, real exciting times, and I'd like to be a part of that, to see some stuff through.”

Fenik has been the mayor of Perth since 2006.
Nominations open for elected positions on May 2.
