Justin Bieber is back — call it the Biebs effect.
The Canadian pop star and Tim Hortons are reuniting, presenting a new drink collaboration called “Biebs Brew” on Tuesday and reintroducing the original “Timbiebs” for a limited time.
Both products will return to Canadian and United States locations on June 6. Tim Hortons’ restaurants in Canada will also have a limited-edition stainless steel “Biebs Brew” tumbler available for guests to purchase on the same date.
“Justin shared that he prefers his coffee on ice, which led to working on a new flavour of Tim Hortons Cold Brew, which is made with 100 per cent ethically sourced premium Arabica beans and is slowly cold steeped for 16 hours to enhance the bold and smooth flavour,” a Tim Hortons spokesperson said in a news release.
“Also inspired by a slight sweet tooth and his love for hints of delicious vanilla flavouring in his coffee, Justin and our beverage innovation team developed a creamy French Vanilla flavour to go with our Cold Brew. Biebs Brew is the perfect blend of those two beloved Tims flavours.”
Bieber said, “we couldn’t stop at Timbiebs” and needed to submit a drink to the fold.
“Doing a Tim Hortons collab had always been a dream of mine. I grew up on Tim Hortons, and it’s always been something close to my heart,” Bieber said on Tuesday.
All three Timbiebs flavours — Chocolate White Fudge, Sour Cream Chocolate Chip, and Birthday Cake Waffle flavours — will return.
Bieber and Tim Hortons announced the initial co-branded launch in November 2021, including the limited edition “Timbiebs Timbits.”
In February, Tim Hortons’ parent company, Restaurant Brands International (RBI), reported that the coffee chain’s sales grew over 10 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2021, after a decline of 11 per cent over the same period the previous year.
On May 3, RBI presented strong first-quarter numbers and announced a global comparable sales growth of 8 per cent, driven by over 10 per cent at Tim Hortons Canada.
