The National Capital Commission (NCC) launched a free shuttle service on the weekends for people to enjoy some of the popular areas of Gatineau Park this summer.
The NCC launched the initiative on Saturday, June 25 and it runs until August 28.
“This gives people an opportunity to visit the park this summer,” said Allison Eagen, the manager of public programs and communications with the NCC on The Sam Laprade Show on Monday, June 27.
The shuttle service leaves from downtown Ottawa at Wellington Street and Lyon Street and from the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Québec and takes passengers to areas such as Camp Fortune and the Champlain Lookout.
The shuttle service runs every 30 minutes, and leaves Ottawa just after 9 a.m., with the last one leaving Gatineau Park at roughly 4:45 p.m.
