The Smiths Falls Police Service (SFPS) had charged a mother and her son in connection with the possession of counterfeit money.

Shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday, June 24, the SFPS located and arrested Wanetta Generoux, 48 of Lanark, and her son Joel Cross, 29.

Police later executed a search warrant at a home on Centre Street where additional counterfeit funds, all in U.S. currency, were recovered.

Both face charges of possession of counterfeit money, while Cross faces an additional charge of breach of probation.
