After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ottawa Lebanese Festival returns in 2022.
The event takes place from July 13 until July 17 at the Saint Elias Centre located at 750 Ridgewood Avenue.
“We are really excited to be back,” said George Hanna, the chair of the Ottawa Lebanese Festival on The Sam Laprade Show on Wednesday, July 6.
Hanna said organizing the festival requires a lot of work and dedication, but he has a great team that helps with the planning of the popular event.
“We have a great committee with great volunteers,” he added.
Since 1990, the Ottawa Lebanese Festival has been celebrating the rich diversity of Ottawa's Lebanese community with five days of food, Middle Eastern entertainment and heritage.
“We love showcasing our heritage and culture,” he said. “This is our opportunity to do that.”
