Gas prices dropping another four cents on Aug. 25

As prices dropped five cents on Aug. 24, more relief is on the way for Ottawa drivers at the pumps ahead of the weekend.

Roger McKnight, chief petroleum analyst at En-Pro, tweeted on Aug. 24 that the price at the pumps will fall four cents on Aug. 25 to $1.549 cents a litre at most Ottawa gas stations.

The Ford government implemented a cut of the gas tax by 5.7 cents per litre in Ontario on July 1, and prices dropped 11 cents on that day.

Gas prices hit a record $2.159 a litre in Ottawa in June.
