Ottawa man charged with multiple incidents of fraud, possession of stolen property

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) charged an Ottawa man following an investigation into multiple allegations of fraud and possession of stolen property by a local auction house. 
 
The OPS started an investigation in July of 2022 into several incidents that occurred between early 2019 and February of 2022 involving the owner fo Walker's Fine Art and Estates Auctioneers Incorporated, located on Auriga Drive. Investigators determined that the owner stole items from at least five customers. 

After executing a search warrant on the morning of Aug. 26 at the business, numerous items were seized and Jeffrey Walker, 47, is charged with two counts of fraud over $5,000, two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, five counts of fraud under $5,000 and five counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000. 

Investigators are concerned there could be other victims. Anyone who has interacted with the business is urged to contact police.
