Titans come up short against Capitales

By Anil Jhalli

It was not the way the team wanted the season to end, but for the Ottawa Titans, it was a season to remember.

In their inaugural campaign in the Frontier League, Ottawa's baseball team made the playoffs, but fell short in their East Division matchup against the Québec Capitales.

On Sunday, Sept. 11, the Capitales defeated the Titans by a score of 5-1 to clinch the best of three series two games to one.

The Capitales will now meet the winner of the West Division final between the Schaumburg Boomers and Washington Wild Things in the Frontier League final.

Despite coming up a short, the Titans made the playoffs in their first season in the league, dominated in their Wild Card playoff game, and will look to build on a successful season one in the Frontier League when the team takes the field next year for year two.
