Two people from Smiths Falls charged with drug trafficking offences after investigation

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Smiths Falls Police Service, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine assisted the East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) on Sept. 29 in the town of Smiths Falls with a drug trafficking investigation.

As a result of this investigation, two people have been charged with drug trafficking related offences.

Jason Bullock, 39, and Bailey Sargeant, 33, both from Smiths Falls are charged with the following:

  • Trafficking schedule I substance – cocaine 
  • Trafficking schedule I substance – methamphetamine 
  • Trafficking schedule I substance – heroin
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 

The accused individuals were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
