Lanark OPP charge four people after seizing drugs and weapons in Montague Township

Four people are facing charges after drugs, cash and weapons were seized in Montague Township. 

Members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Tactical Response Unit (TRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine, East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Biker Enforcement Unit (BEU) executed two search warrants at multiple residences on Friday, Oct. 7.

Officers seized two firearms, more than $3,000 in Canadian currency, stolen property and a quantity of suspected cocaine.

Lance Cook, 39, of Montague Township, faces the following charges:

  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – Cocaine 
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 

Blake Cook, 38, of Montague Township, faces the following charges:

  • Failure to comply with release order
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – opioid (other than Heroin)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine 

April Greenham, 44, of Rear of Yonge-Escott Township, and Angela Sargeant, 43, of Carleton Place, each face the following charge: 

  • Possession of a schedule I substance- cocaine

Greenham and Sargeant are scheduled to appear in court in Perth on Monday, Nov.  21, 2022, while the other two accused are due in court in Perth on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022.
