Chick-fil-A coming to Ottawa

By Anil Jhalli

An American based fast food chain is expanding in Canada in the next few years, including a location in Canada's capital.

Chick-fil-A officials announced earlier this week plans to open more stores across the country by the year 2025. One of those new stores will be located in Ottawa.

Other locations as part of Canadian expansion plans include opening stores in Barrie, Toronto's Eaton Centre, and Vaughn with plans to open in Alberta as well.

The fast food chain, which specialized in chicken sandwiches, currently has locations in Toronto, Windsor, Kitchener, Scarborough, North York and Concord.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to serve more guests and to invest in more communities across the country,” said Anita Costello, chief international officer. “Canadians can look forward to an authentic Chick-fil-A experience at each of our locations: delicious food prepared with high-quality ingredients, served with our signature hospitality.”
