Remembrance Day ceremonies across Ottawa and eastern Ontario

Remembrance Day takes place on Friday, Nov. 11.

For the first time since 2019, Remembrance Day ceremonies across Ottawa and eastern Ontario are taking place in person.

“The over arching purpose of Remembrance Day is a time for remembrance, honour and respect,” said Steven Clark, the national executive director of the Royal Canadian Legion on Wake Up With Rob Snow on Nov. 10. “When people attend Remembrance Day ceremonies, they do so to remember all who have fallen in the military service of Canada but they also have individual reasons why. They may have a personal connection and it's there personal expression of remembrance why they go to ceremonies.”
