New data shows Hawkesbury and District General Hospital has the longest wait time to see a doctor in Ontario

According to new data, an eastern Ontario hospital has the longest emergency room (ER) wait time to see a doctor in the province in for the month of October of this year. 

In the latest report from Ontario Health, the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital had the longest average wait time to see a doctor in Ontario with people waiting an average of 4.6 hours before their first assessment from an ER doctor. 

On average, patients across the province of Ontario waited 2.2 hours for a first assessment from a doctor.

Patients waited an average of 4.2 hours for a first assessment by an ER doctor at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) while at the General Campus of the Ottawa Hospital, people were waiting an average of 3.8 hours for a first assessment from ER doctor. 

People waited an average of 2.7 hours to see a doctor for a first assessment at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, and to see an ER doctor for a first assessment at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, people waited an average of 2.6 hours.

Patients waited an average of 2.5 hours for a first assessment from an ER doctor at the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital while people waited an average of 2.3 hours to see an ER doctor at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital. People waited an average of 2.2 hours to see a doctor at the Montfort Hospital. 

The Smiths Falls site of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital and the Charles ST site of the Brockville General Hospital were below the provincial average, as patients waited an average of 1.8 hours for a first assessment from an ER doctor. 

At the Renfrew Victoria Hospital and Hotel Dieu of the Kingston Health Services Centre, patients waited an average of 1.5 hours for a first assessment from an ER doctor. 

It takes 1.3 hours for a patient to see a doctor for a first assessment at the Perth Site of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital.
