Grenville OPP respond to two vehicle accident as winter weather hits

Grenville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle accident on northbound Highway 416, beyond the Kemptville exit. A road closure is in place.

Two people were taken to hospital after one car crashed into another unoccupied vehicle involved in an earlier accident.

Winter weather is bringing snowy conditions to the region, causing reduced visibility and slippery road conditions. OPP are cautioning drivers to slow down.

Environment Canada issued a weather advisory around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, for Ottawa ending later tonight. Snowfall amounts of five centimetres have fallen as of 1:30 p.m., and an additional five centimetres is expected by Sunday evening.
