The water rescue of Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) rescued a deer that fell through this ice on the Ottawa River near Shirleys Bay Park.
When approaching from the ice failed for fear of scaring the deer into open water, the rescue team approached from the water and ushered the deer back onto the ice and it returned to shore.
