Arnprior man charged after numerous break-ins at local jewellery store

A 32-year-old Arnprior man has been charged in connection to a string of break and enter incidents at a local jewellery store.  

On Jan, 3, 2023, the Arnprior Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter in progress at a jewellery store in the town of Arnprior. The suspect was described as a male leaving the scene on a bicycle wearing black.

This was the third break and enter reported at the same store in the last month. 

Officers arrived within minutes of receiving the initial call, secured the scene and continued to patrol the area.

Christopher Alain Joseph Tremblay has been charged with:

  • Break, enter a place- commit indictable offence – three counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 –  three counts
  • Possession break in instruments

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on Feb. 15, 2023.
